SBCC………. About our Ministry, “To Know Christ and Make Him Known.”
During the initial thoughts, prayers, conversations and more prayers, we found that putting our “vision” or “about” SBCC online, without a building was really challenging. It seemed that everything that was on my heart was a good idea, a great “vision “but where do I start, once again the things that were put on the table because of COVID were all things that we were certain that God wants us to do.
Our vision was developed from one statement, our mission statement: “To know Christ and to make Him known.” As it was in 2016, well, it remains today. As I stated in my Bio, I was to let others know that through Jesus, we have great HOPE!
To show people that SBCC is a place where people can find real help and real hope even if it is online, Zoom, text, calls, communication= experience and real change so that we can discover real answers. Where families in our community can come to begin the process of healing from destructive lifestyles, habits, addictions and choices.
Where prayer is where we go first and will go with you when taking these problems to our God. Its still by prayer, this online will reach thousands.
It is the dream of equipping every believer for a significant ministry by helping them discover the gifs and talents God has blessed them with and then guiding them to begin using these gifts.
Where God is worshiped joyfully and reverently; where the music is Christ-honoring and relevant; where worship is a significant event which encourages believers and transforms them into the army of God; where worship communicates to the visitor the greatness of our God, the joyfulness of the Christian life, and the emptiness of life without Jesus.
Bible classes, worship services, prayer times online. These are the things God has placed on my heart. This vision has been formed over many years of prayer and thought.
This vision is inspired by our God!
